Have PCAW 9.02. Ran a unit activity report covering "all" dates (1/1/01-12/31/02). The report indicated beginning quantity of zero, 800 cases sold, and 502 purchased. Obviously, something was wrong. Ran the Item costing report, and confirmed that 502 purchased (and sold). I then ran the Unit Activity report again adding one month at a time (1/01-2/01; then 1/01-3/01, then 1/01-4/01). The reports were accurate until the date covered future months! In fact, it was when I ran 1/01-6/02 that the error started popping up -- the report began adding sales for the months following 6/02. I checked to make sure no one entered invoices in the future by mistake; that was not done.

What happened?

I have posted several times today that PAWCOM can solve this problem. I encourage you to contact them at: www.multiwareinc.com.

Are you saying multiware has a patch for the peachtree program's error, or that if I use PAWCOM to run the report instead of Peachtree, the report will be accurate? I know I can run it in PAWCOM, but it's quicker to use PCAW for standard reports (don't have to refresh to update data).

I believe PAWCOM needs some modification to eliminate the inaccuracy. Bob Walraven can help you with this. He sent me modified files and that solved the problem. I also bought Access 2002 to make sure I had the best interface. I can't believe Peach hasn't addressed this, or maybe I just don't know where to look.
I knew that the invoices were correct, and that the sales figures were correct. The reports were including items that were on quotes, and also showing sales for future months. Very confusing. With PAWCOM, I have numbers accurate to the decimal point.

A point of clarification: PawCom does NOT fix anything in Peachtree's database to make its reports run correctly. PawCom has its own version of the reports based on the underlying data.

We believe that Peachtree has a bug that throws their history data off in the LineItem records. To get around this problem PawCom computes the information for the report in a different way.
