Is there a way to get the GL account number to print on the check stub? It would help when I sign checks to know what account the transaction was recorded in.

Hmm... does the GL Account description appear?
On my cash disbursement check stubs, I see that on the stub - not the number, but the description shows.
I would think in the design area you could change it easily enough.

Let me ask again. Is there an easy way to get the G/L account number or G/L account discription (if the discription is not left blank on the check) to print on one of the check stubs. I have the accounts payable folks enter information in the discription line for latter review of the transactions in the account. Any help would be appreciated.

Didn't think of it before, but in your global options do you have "hide gl accounts" checked anywhere? If it hides it in the screen, it might hide it in the check forms?
I assume you are using "canned" check forms that come with peachtree software.
Click on the form in the list and then click "Design" you will see the check's design & layout screen where you can make your adjustments.
I see what's happening - if you have something in the "description" field on the check, that is what prints in the "full description". If you don't have anything on those lines, you see the gl description.
When I scrunched up the description field and made a new data field next to it, I didn't see any field available that said "GL Account" or such. What looked like a truncated description and a "full" description was all that was available.
If you are signing a lot of checks at a time, you might ask them to print you a cash disbursements journal for that day and you can see how they're posting.... Leaving the field blank so the gl account shows on the checkstub would, of course, not be worth it.
Maybe someone else knows of a better solution, but I don't see it.
showing GL accounts on checks can not be done.
