When I want to convert a customer to prospect, I receive a message "Customer with sales orders, invoices or credit memos can't be converted to prospects". But these customers have a zero balance, no invoices, no open orders etc... Can somebody help me? Thanks

Did they EVER have any of those or maybe there are Quotes or Sales Orders out against that customer.

CraigFL is correct
This customer has a previous invoice or receipt against the ID.

But the system already knows that they have HAD transactions posted. Therefore you can't turn them into propects.

The usual order of change is from prospect to customer. Not the other way around.

When I try to convert any customer to prospect. I can't do that. I try to convert each one of my customers without transactions and I can't. I check every customer to check if they have quotes, sales orders, invoices or other task pending and I didn' find anhyting. Any help is appreciated. thanks

PT allows you to convert from Propect to Customer but not the other way around. Remember Propect means Prospective customer, someone you wish to do business with. Once you have converted them to a Customer then they are no longer propective customers. They are Customers . Read the help file on Propect vs Customer settings for their exact wording.

Is there a particular reason why you want to change the setting?

These ID's have prior history ---It may have been 5 years ago
