I need to set up a user account for a sales person. This person needs to be able to create invoices but have access to finacial information like the bank statements and so forth. The problem is that I can not seem to get this set up right. I can set permissions so that they can fill out invoices but so I can't get it to let them print the invoices. So if the invoices are not printed than they are not issued an invoice number, and they do not show up in the system as an order or sale. What am I missing here? Surely this is a common practice.

Check your Permissions settings for this user under the TASKS tab, Post and Unpost. You may have these set to No Access. As such, the system cannot post the invoice as printed and assign an invoice number. Change these settings to read FULL.
