We have several checking accounts that we pay from. It's sometimes easy to get confused as to what account the stub is from as the account number only appears on the check itself. Is there some way to modify the form so that it prints the account number on the second (file copy) stub? Thanks.

Peachtree does not provide any options for printing the Cash Account (GL Account) nor does it provide any options for printing your bank account number on the check face or the check stub.

You could have a customized form for each bank account. In each of the forms, using design mode, you could put a text-box with the account number in the place you want it to appear.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I suspect that all this will do is push the problem from not knowing which account the checks are from (I can easily fix this) to an a/p clerk deciding incorrectly which form that they should be using (harder to catch and fix).

The best way to handle multiple check printing is to have multiple trays for you printer. Printing your own numbers at the bottom would actually cost more than purchasing the trays. You would have to have a special font for the numbers at the bottom of the check as well as magnetic ink so that the banks can read and process the checks. The alignment for the numbers at the bottom have to be near perfect in order for the bank to process the checks properly. If the alignment isn't proper and the ink isn't magnetic the checks come through on your statement without check numbers and the bank has to apply their own strip at the bottom to process the check.
