Version 7 Errors

I keep getting an error that says something like I can't access this record because it is currently in use by someone else.....I usually get this message when I have to go back and correct something? Also, I get a message out of the blue that peachtree has an error and windows shuts it down? Please help?

I've had the 2 happen in reverse - I'm trying to change something and there's an error and windows shuts peachtree down. I can't help with why this happens. However, I've learned that I then get the "can't access - currently in use by someone else" problem. Seems as if Peachtree doesn't know it was shut down and thinks I'm still in Peachtree and also trying to access again (if that makes sense). Anyhow - only way I can get back into Peachtree is to reboot my computer. Then everything is back to normal (until next time).
