I have been using the tax updates for nine years. I could not get the latest one to install. I tried your advice on disabling vs,firewall,popup blocker and soforth to know avail. Followed your advice to find it in program files and tried to install it from there. Also did not work. So I deleted it and checked for updates again. It downloaded and installed correctlly then. The first download must have been corrupted and atempts to redownload would not overwrite the file that was on the machine. Hope this may help anyone else that is having this problem.
