When I try to restore my backup, Classic 13, I get an error that peachtree doesn't reconize it as a backup disk. Any thoughts?

What is the source and path of the actual Peachtree data backup C:\Backup or A:\ ? Where is your current Peachtree program installed i.e. C:\PCA? More information is needed in order to provide help.

Attempt to restore the backup from the Command Line. Go to START and RUN and type CMD and click OK. Assuming that your Peachtree program resides on C: drive and in a folder labeled PCA then type CD\PCA and press ENTER to complete the move. Change the drive and program folder according to your actual program path. The Peachtree command to restore a backup from A:\ drive would read as follows. Peachtree used a DOS compatible backup / restore program. Both of the command lines are valid and you can try one or both of them.
C:\PCA\PTREST A: C:\ /S and press ENTER
or
C:\PCA\PTREST32 A: C:\ /S and press ENTER
