Importing Database info

I need to pay 100 people a stipend for their services (one time only). Is it possible to import their names and addresses from an Excel file? Thanks!

I assume the simplest way is to make them vendors. To do this, export one or more vendors (creates a file you can work with in Excel). This will show you the exact format. Then dump your 100 names and addresses into that format, and import them. You can then write checks to them as vendors.

One other thought: Is the stipend large enough ($600 or more) that you need to issue them 1099 forms at the end of the year? If so, you will need their Social Security number, too.
