View Full Version : PT 2007 - Question about e-mailed statements

In PT 2006, statements are e-mailed by attaching a PDF file of the statement to an e-mail message to the customer. In PT 2007, can this e-mail message be edited ahead of time, so our own message is sent to all customers?

I have been told it can't be changed in PT 2006, but if you know of a way, please let me know!

You cannot edit the statements, but there is a way to use Mail Merge (in either version) to produce a letter that includes customer balance information. In 2007, you can simply sync up your contacts in Outlook and send one email to all of them (would need to send a separate one for the statment, however).

Thanks, Tasha! Even though it's bad news, I appreciate your responding.

I'm just amazed that it's not possible to find and change the text of the e-mail message! I suppose I could just use "paste" to replace the whole message text before I send each one, but that sounds pretty tedious for now, and really impractical once more customers switch to e-mail for their statements.
