OS =Windows XP Pro SP2, Visual Basic 6 Enterprise Edition

A short Introduction: The office where my wife works, asked me to write a VB application (I'm certified via MS in VB 3,4,5,6) to do basically the same as there DOS version 13 of Peachtree. This version is no longer supported by Peachtree and the special 3rd party updates they have are NOT available in the Windows version.

In a post on this BBS last September, I asked a question about this subject and someone mention PAWCOM.

My question today is: I would like to stay away from any other software except VB in the Windows environment. Does anyone know of a way I can get to the DATA of Peachtree files using Visual Basic 6? I heard that the files in Peachtree use "C-tree". I never heard of this product. I will do some investigation on it but I need to find an answer to my question above.
Thank You,
Sam

New Question:

Can anyone tell me the database Peachtree Dos uses? I heard it was c/tree but at this site, http://www.aicpa.org/pubs/jofa/sept1999/collin.htm it says BTrieve

Peachtree DOS Version 5.0 - 11.0 & Peachtree Classic Version 12. - 13.0 uses C-Tree for its database. Peachtree Windows uses Btreive for all Versions up to and including Peachtree 2006, while Peachtree Windows Version 2007 uses Pervasive SQL 9.1.

I checked the website that you listed in your post and found that the information provide there is accurate for the flavors / versions of Peachtree that are listed. However, Peachtree DOS / Classic is not listed on this site.
