We are stocking pipes in 144" lengths as total inches on hand EX: 8,976,876,998

we sell in pieces ex: 1000 pieces at 10.375" Long or 53 pieces at 3.254" Long etc...

We are a job shop and cut pipes to different lengths. Can any of Peachtree products handle this fuction by calculating total inches used from pieces we sell and deduct total inches from inventory ?

Lengths we sell always change.

We do something similar with wood pellets we manufacturer. I set it up in inventory as a ton (50 bags) being a unit. A lot of people come in and buy lesser amounts - say 10 bags for example. The sale quantity will be .2 (10 divided by 50) for that inventory item. I can then adjust the price as required. It works for us, and allows me to continually track how many pellets we move out the door.

I do not know if this will work for us as we cut to various lengths from 1/2" long up to 144" in 3/16" increments.

Thank you we are going to see if this method will work for us in 1/16" increments.

Peachtree's customer service told us we can sell in the method we originally mentioned but we did not see how to setup the inventory this way.
