We are not fully on 2000 version; however only 2 users can legitimately log into the application. One no longer works for the company.

(The Domain administrator account is a third account that has access).

In 2000, we created an identical user (replacement employee) but this person's account just gets an error.

Is anyone familiar with this error pop?
"Peachtree has detected that Windows 2000 is installed on yoru computer..............To run Peachtree Accounting, you must have non-restrictive (Administrator or Power User) rights........"

First of all, I believe that you are posting to the wrong forum. That is a classic error of Peachtree Complete Accounting 2002. This forum is for Peachtree 2000, which is a completely different product line that 2002). Why they do this to us? The only answer is...To confuse us :)

Second,

Are you running Windows Terminal Server?

If you are not... Click Here (http://peachtreeusers.com/.forums/showthread.php3?threadid=669&highlight=power+user+rights) for a post regarding this matter.

Windows Terminal Server behaves differently.

If you have any other questions/issues I suggest you post to the Accounting/Complete Accounting Forum in order to get the most results.

Hope it Helps,

I don't think that Peachtree 2002 runs under Windows Terminal Server. While Peachtree doesn't support Windows TS, older peachtree complete accounting versions have been able to run under it. Some people have claimed that they have solved the problem (and even the peachtree's site shows a workaroud), but still there are many people that cannot run it properly.

Check this out: Click Here (http://www.peachtreeusers.com/.forums/showthread.php3?threadid=661&highlight=terminal+server+2002)

Please, let me know if you solved your problem (and how).

nac,

I'm sorry. I understood that you were running Peachtree 2002. As far as I know (and as expressed before), Peachtree 8 runs under Win TS (as I said before).

The link that I provided before should do the trick.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
