Delete Inventory

I own a dress shop, & I post Purchase Orders & then recieve, so I can pay the invoices, my problem is that I never post inventory items as being sold, I have a large inventory file & would like to delete some, but peachtree will not allow this, because the items are still in inventory, can someone help

Mark the Inventory Items as "INACTIVE" and then select "HIDE INACTIVES" in OPTIONS-GLOBAL-GENERAL-OTHER OPTIONS.
