I having problem getting any Peachtree product to run, I have Windows XP SP2.I install for a single user no network. When I double click on the Peachtree icon it looks like it getting ready to start , I get the hourglass then nothing loads. I know the microkernel loads because I can see it loaded up in the task manager, but that is it nothing happens just the desktop. any suggestions.

Right click on the Peachtree Desktop Icon and then click on the line OPEN. If this does not work for you, go to START and RUN. Type MSCONFIG and click OK. Now click on the tab Services - place a check mark on HIDE Microsoft Services and DISABLE ALL. Now repeat under the STARTUP Tab and disable all. Reboot and see if you can open Peachtree is the traditional manner. Assuming that all works ok now, go back to START - RUN and MSCONFIG and recheck the items on the SERVICES tab. Reboot and test Peachtree again. If all is OK, go back to MSCONFIG and this time go to the STARTUP tab and recheck a few of the Startup Items. Reboot and test again until you find the offending or conflicting program that is preventing Peachtree from executing fully.

I think I am going to have to reinstall windows something is up. I can boot up in regular mode, but if I try to go to safe mode I get to the screen to log on then it just reboots.
