Network problem Ver 7

I have been using ver 7 complete for several yrs on peer to peer Win 98 network. I recently migrated to Win 2000 on the network and cant get connection from workstation to the data files on another machine. It hangs on the install on the workstation machine. If I leave the default of "C:\peachw" as the data directory the install takes right off. That confirms to me that the problem is in my network connection. All hardrives on both machines are shared as well as the peachw directory where data is kept is also a share. I have granted permissions to all user profiles at this point attempting to get a connections. When logged on as Administrator on both machines with admin privledges I still cant get a connection.
Can someone see something that Im missing in this senario. Any help would be appreciated.

A work-around is as you say install as local to c:\peachw, then modify the ini file of Peachtree, in your case PAW70.ini located under your windows directory. After installation, change the datapath= in paw70.ini to point to the place you want to access the shared data.
