Crystal Reports

Can anyone give me an opinion as to whether these reports are worth getting as opposed to using the Peachtree reports. I know nothing about Crystal Reports. Thanks.

Crystal Reports is not worth it unless you have a spacific report that you can not run in Peachtree. Peachtree sends out a sample of Crystal Reports in the software and you can evaluate the version to see if it generates the report you need.

Do you have any programming background? Crystal reports is a very handy tool for use with the Peachtree database but many of us who even have a programming background and even those that are well seasoned in Crystal reports finds it quite difficult to use it with the Peachtree database. Be forewarned; you don't just load the program and start creating reports!!

Thank you Paul and Marka. I do not have a formal background ing programming but used to work with reports using pick programming way back. I do not want to get too deeply into reports, just wish I could manipulate a report in Peachtree to draw from more available fields, eg. a report that would show discounts allowed in the select for payments reports etc. Thanks for the advice. Lynn.
