We are using Distribution 2006. Our salesman does the customer invoicing from home every morning using My Invoices & Estimates Deluxe, at the end of the day the invoices end up in our office where we input them into Peachtree.

I know that this way of doing the billing makes no sense, is inefficient and not sound in regards to accounting practices, but nothing about the billing procedure can be changed. -We have tried.

I am not at all familiar with My Invoices. I don't suppose data can be exported to Peachtree?

Does anyone have any suggestions to save us the time of re-entering all of the invoices and all of their line items? Our technologically challenged boss can't understand why we just can't SCAN the invoices into Peachtree!?

We are just trying to keep our part-time bookkeeping jobs from becoming full-time.

Please help.

Ask your boss why can't he read a foreign newspaper by simply looking at it. Each program's data is written in a language and a format that typically is not the same as Peachtree.

Find out if the "My Invoices & Estimates program can export invoice data to an ASCII formatted file such as Comma Separated Value (CSV).

Can the sales rep use Peachtree on his local computer and then export his invoices and then e-mail them to you for importing?

Can the sales rep use Windows Remote Desktop or GoToMy PC to access the office computer and input his Peachtree Invoices directly?

Thanks for your reply. I've tried to look into all of those suggestions in the past and there was always resistance to change. However, as of yesterday afternoon, our sales rep has agreed to enter the invoices into peachtree at the office each morning. That means he will have to get up at 3:00, probably the main reason for the oposition.

Bottom line, our boss finally realized that he was paying twice for the same task to be done.

Thanks much!
