Greetings.
I have searched the forum (the search for "tax" is rejected because it's too small!?) to no avail. I have run into a dilemma in Fixed Assets with the Sec. 179 election cap. I stopped getting the tax updates several years ago when I stopped using Payroll. I did not realize the Sec. 179 cap was a part of that tax update. This is the first year I will exceed the cap imposed by the last update I got (1999 or 2000?)
Does anyone have a patch to alter the cap? I am assuming the data is buried in the file "fatax.dat" in my PCA directory. Tried looking at the file, but it's a gobbledy gooked mess.
Or perhaps someone is willing to part with their tax update from a later year? I need the Section 179 cap to exceed $25,000 currently imposed with the tax update I have installed. It'd be nice to be able to go all the way up to $100,000 (the current cap imposed by the Feds)
Call me an anachronism if you wish :D but DOS V10 is fine for my needs right now. Honestly no need to get the latest and greatest.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
