Changing fiscal year end

I need to change company yearend from June 30 to December 31. What is the best and easiest way to do this?::confused:

The only way is to start a new company in Peachtree. The steps are too lengthy to list here. But you can find detailed instructions by searching for "rebuild" in Peachtree's help.

The basic idea is you export everything from your current company, then create a new company with the new fiscal year, then import everything you just exported.

It is very important to follow the order of the steps as they are listed or it will not work. Another common problem is inventory items with a " for inches in the ID or description. If that is the case I would suggest 2 things. First change your item IDs and descriptions so they don't use ". Second, when you export your transactions, exclude the description columns because they will still contain the quote marks. This applies to quotation marks in any part of your data, it is just most commonly found with inventory.
