I have a G/L account line that was added to the Chart of Accounts in error. There are no transactions posted to this account and the balance is zero.
However, when I try to delete it from the Chart of Accounts, I get an error message telling me that I "Cannot delete account [...] because there is a non-zero balance in some period(s)." I have double and triple checked and there are no entries posted to this G/L at all.
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. This erroneous G/L is now popping up in some of my financial reports. Thanks!
