If you have installed V7 or later removing Peachtree is not as simple as deleting files. When Peachtree installs it places entries in the registry and these must be deleted also in order to remove all traces.

First try going to the Control Panel and clicking Add/Remove programs. Peachtree should be listed there. If it is, this is the best way to delete it from your system because this will also remove registry entries, shortcuts, etc.

If Peachtree doesn't show up, reinstall Peachtree. Then you should be able to delete it from Add/Remove Programs.

If neither of these works, then you will have to remove it manually. Peachtree could have been installed anywhere on your system, but the default location is c:\peachw, so that is probably where the files are. If they are not there, look in the file PAWxx.INI or PCWxx.INI in your windows directory (xx = version) for the location of the folder. Delete that folder and everything in it. Then use RegEdit to find all references to Btrieve and Pervasive and remove them. NOTE: DO NOT DELETE THESE ENTRIES FROM THE REGISTRY IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER APPLICATION ON YOUR SYSTEM THAT USES BTRIEVE!
