Paraphrased from the Btrieve documentation:

"Btrieve error 100: No Cache Buffers Available
Btrieve has used all cache buffers allocated at load time. Increase the cache allocation."

Although there are several registry entries for Btrieve that can be adjusted (search for Btrieve or Pervasive), I suspect your problem is elsewhere. We have had a fair number of people here say to avoid Windows ME - it is notorious for having problems. You may want to consider upgrading to 98 (yes that is what I mean). Better yet, if you can upgrade to Win 2000 - it is a good solid professional version of Windows.

Several things you may try:

- stop your antivirus software to isolate the problem, of course if it's not the cause of your problem, better to restart it again

- apply the registry update provided by Peachtree, it solves most of the btrieve settings problems

- delete the sortjob.dat and restart your Peachtree, once you open the company, Peachtree will recreate the file for you again

Hope these help.
