Peachtree Complete 2002 Error 58

I am running a peer to peer network and I have Peachtree 2002 Complete Accounting Multi-User. While entering an invoice on the workstations, I received this error message. Does anyone have any ideas???

From Btrieve documentation:

"Btrieve Error 58:
An attempt was made to read or write a record that is longer than the value specified for the size of the compression buffer. Reload Btrieve with a larger "Maximum Compressed Record Size" option that is at least as large as the largest record your application will access."

This error might have occured because you installed some other Btrieve product on your system that overwrote the registry settings that Peachtree defined (assuming you are running V7 or later.)

If you are running V8.0.01 or earlier it could also occur because you have defined an invoice with a huge number of detail lines.

Or it could be caused by something else.

If you are running V6 or earlier, adjust the /U parameter in BTI.INI in your windows directory. If you are running V7 or later, run RegEdit, look for entries including "Btrieve" or "Pervasive" and see if there are any appropriate parameter values you can bump up.
