We have just received the new payroll tax update service with new forms. We are running Peachtree Premium Accounting 2006. We have noticed that the worksheets for the state E-file (MO) and that of the 941 do not accurately count the number of employees (usually) in the last month of the quarter (the count is usually short). When checking the worksheet it also calculates the Total Wages Paid based on the "UI Total Wages" and not the "Gross" wages. My original now "Unsupported" versions of these reports calculated these values correctly. Does anyone know if Peachtree is going to fix this soon?

Can you determine which pay period PT is using for the employee count? According to the 941 form, they should be using the pay period containing December 12 for the 4th quarter. You might check the MO state website to see what they define as the pay period to use for counting employees.

MO doesn't want Gross wages on that report. They want the wages subject to unemployment because there are things like 125 cafe plans that are not subject to MO unemployment.

Also, the 12th of the month is calculated based on the pay period start and end date. If you have a big delay in your payroll so the check that contains the 12th of in this case December was paid in January those employees will not be included.
