Does anyone have any ideas about how to use subaccounts with Peachtree if indeed it can be done. ie: Acct: Sales with subaccounts - In House, Out of House

I have been using a chart of accounts that works very well with Peachtree and most other accounting software for about 20 years.
You want to schedule out various sales categories. Here is how I do it:
My account numbers are 7 digits. The first 3 digits are my "control account". The next 2 digits are for "sub accounts", with the last 2 digits reserved for "departments".
Example:
4000100 Sales-Product 1
4000200 Sales-Product 2
Using this example, you can "roll up" everthing from 4000100 to 4009900 and call it "Sales" on your income statement. You can then create a supplement "Schedule of Sales" using the range of accounts printing the detail.
This scheme offers a lot of flexibility.
