We're getting the following message on our server machine on boot up and anytime we try to access Peachtree from the server. Workstations are working fine:

"The procedure entry point ?FEATURE_2007SR1_REPORT_OPTIMIZE@3QBDB could not be located in the dynamic link library pchup32.dll."

This only started to happen because a tech agent told us to run the repair routine from the installation CD because of a problem we were having printing our paper work for our employees and vendors. He thought there was a corrupt data file, but we later found out through another tech that it had nothing to do with it. So now we have a problem that we didn't create, and are being told that we have to reinstall the program to another program path.

Has anyone heard of anything like this? Is there another way to rectify this issue without reinstalling the entire program? This is nuts! Especially because PEACHTREE caused this in the first place!

After you ran the repair from the CD, did you check for any updates?

It didn't even give me the option. After it was finished it prompted me to reboot. And since I can't get into the program, I can't update the software.

At this point I would just uninstall/reinstall the program. Reboot the machine after the uninstall as well as follow the suggestion to install the program to a different folder name.

Thanks for the advice.

Actually, I just copied my data folder over to my Desktop (for safe keeping). I then deleted the entire "Sage Software\Peachtree" directory and reinstalled the program into the same directory. After it was done I let the software update itself and copied the data folder on my Desktop back to where it was originally (overwriting the newly created data folder).

Works perfectly and didn't have to start making new program directories. It seems that everytime there's a problem with Peachtree, their solution is to reinstall into a different directory. That's just sloppy. Their program needs to be better and cleaner than that.
