Changing acctg period canges real account balances

I've been using Peachtree for about 10 years now. Upgraded to complete accounting 2007 last October.

This morning 02/01/07, I went to change accounting period, and some of my real accounts changed values. A/R was up, Cash on hand, waiting to deposit went negetive.

I go back to the previous period (jan 07) and the values are ok.

What could I be doing wrong. This is a first for me.

Check the General Journal Report for transactions posted in the new period that are effecting these account balances.
