Using your Peachtree program CD, run the Modify / Remove selection from the main startup menu and then select REPAIR. If this fails then uninstall the program and reinstall using the original program and data locations.

Thanks Rick will this allow me to retain my original data? And thanks again for such a quick response as I was just pacing and fretting until I saw your post.

Uninstalling and reinstalling will not touch your personal files, only Peachtree program files.
You can always copy your personal / company data folder to another location before starting the previously recommended process.

I wanted to let you know that I did the repair but now I am getting an error that says The procedure entry point ?Feature_2007SR1_report_optimize@@3QBDB could not be located in the dynamic link library pchup32.dll. What on earth does that mean and I'm I doomed?

Check to see if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or IE 7.0. If IE7 is your current Internet Explorer, you will need to uninstall it, and Windows will re-install IE 6.0 automatically. Then uninstall Peachtree and re-install the program. Peachtree experiences multiple problems with IE 7.0, especially if it in place before loading Peachtree.

HI Rick thank you so much for responding. I checked the version of Explorer and it is version 6. I'm not sure what is going on here but I am just at a loss and a stand still without access. I pray that I am able to get into it soon.

Disable all Anti-Virus Software and Firewall Software. Uninstall Peachtree and re-install. Once you have proven Peachtree to be functional, then re-enable your AV and Firewall Software.

Rick I just want to be sure before I do the uninstall that I do not lose all of the company data. So I just insert the Peachtree disk and uninstall after all anti-virus and firewalls are disabled and then reinstall and my info should be there? Man I'm on pins and needles and wish you were here to walk me through this as I will be in tears if this does not work!!!:(

Julie:
Uninstalling Peachtree does not remove your personalized data files.
