It would be much more helpful if you told us what task you were performing in Peachtree when it crashed, as well as what operating system you're using and what version of Peachtree. The gobbley-gook that Windows throws up on the screen during a general protection fault aren't meaningful to anyone other than Microsoft technicians.

Thank you dringstrom. I was in the process of entering an invoice. We are using Peachtree 8.0 Complete with upgrades etc.
I did not realize that that was a windows error message, I am afraid that I am not very familiar with such things. Thanks for the help.

Do you get the error every time that you enter an invoice, or was it just a one time occurence? If it only happened once, don't worry about it. If it's happening repeatedly, let us know.

Thanks for the help. I noticed that I was having this error fairly regularly and had thought. My computer had only 64mb ram and I seemed to be having these problems since we installed a windows NT 4.0 server and went up on line on a DSL line. I bought 128mb ram, popped it in and have not had another error message since. I dont know if it was a coincidence or not but I am so happy to be running error free now. Once again thanks so much. Lynn

Adding memory can make a significant difference, particularly if you only have 64 MB. Thanks for reporting your experience!

Running Peachtree on Winnt with 64MB can only fulfill the basic requirement. In real life situation, we always load other programs at the same time, so insufficient memory is expected and unstable environment.

An excellent tool with your Windows NT, 2000 or XP platform is right click on the task bar and run the "task manager" which will give you a clear view of your running tasks and memory available. No need to guest. With it, you can even monitor your cpu usage.
