I use Complete Accounting, Version 9 (updated), Pentium processors on a local area network (3 computers).
In "Inventory" and "Maintain Inventory" I select an item ID and click to bring it up in the "Maintain Inventory Items" window. Clicking "Delete" removes all info from the window. However, the item will not be deleted from the inventory list. How can I delete the item permanently from my files?

Peachtree won't let you delete an inventory item if you've used it in transactions before. However, you should get an error message to this effect. If you're familiar with Peachtree's Integrity Check, reindex the Line Item file. Otherwise, consider marking the inventory item as inactive, then turn on the Hide Inactive Records feature under Options | Global.

See above thread. I couldn't delete the inventory item. But let's describe the real problem.
In the 'Maintain Inventory' window, I click on "Item ID" dialog box and can pull up a complete list of all inventory items. Can't print from that box, which is normal.
But when I go to "Inventory Reports", "Item List", I can only get a report to a certain numbered item when using "ID" criteria, (this item is directly ahead of the numbered item I tried to delete, hoping this would solve the problem) or through the "C's" when using "Item Description".
I cannot get a printable list of all my inventory items in any window in any designation.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Don Hall

It appears that you have some data corruption problems. Your first step is to run the integrity check to reindex the Line Item file. Your next step would be to use the Repair Company.

Again, regarding deleting the items itself, you can't delete an item if you have used it in previous transactions. So, if you sold someone an inventory item, you can no longer delete it. You can make it inactive, then after closing the fiscal year, purge the inactive items. However, that's separate from being unable to print an inventory item list, which again points to data corruption.

Good luck!
