I will be upgrading to PCAW2002 at the end of my fiscal year. I will be starting over w/ a new company and entering beginning balances due to some (un-fixable) errors in my current company that my accountants keep bugging me about. I don’t want to lose the customer database. I have around 2000 regular customers. Is there a way to import just the customer database into PCAW2002? I mean is there anyway to start over by entering all the beginning balances, yet retain the customer information? Can I open 2 companys and start one from scratch and import existing data into the other, then copy the customer data into the new company? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank You.

One of the best things about Peachtree is it's import/export capabilities. You can certainly export a customer list from one company and import it into another. You'll lose the customer history, but the address info, terms, etc. can all be transferred.
Beginning balances can be also be transferred from the old company to the new company, but this involves some knowledge of how to manipulate the data in Excel.
If you get bogged down in rebuilding the new company, keep in mind that there are a number of professional Peachtree support resources that you can turn the job over to for a turn-key solution.
Good luck!
