I was looking at my quarterly pay roll register and I noticed that the gross payroll, according to the payroll register is about $1300 dollars higher then the total wages, line 2 on form 941 worksheet. I’m just curious why that might be, I find that most unusual. I do not see any employee on the payroll register that has payroll in that amount of the difference. Very interesting, appreciate any input you might have.

It's always very helpful to know what version of the software that you're using.
Regarding your question, choose Maintain, Default Information, Employees, then click on the Employee Fields tab. Click one of the Adjust buttons, and see if perhaps you've inadvertently changed a setting there, to add a field or deduction to gross wages for purposes of the W-2.
For instance, I have a separate bonus field that lumps in with gross wages on my employee's W-2s, yet gross wages and bonus appear as separate fields on the payroll register.
Another possible reason is that you have a 401K or other retirement plan?

Have you installed the 9.02 patch? Other than that, since I can't see your records, I don't have any other insight into how to track this down.

I had a customer with a similar problem recently. The payroll reports were showing the wrong amounts. It looked as if the data for last year was being used, instead of the data for the current year.
We fixed the problem by standard Windows methodology-- uninstalling and reinstalling Peachtree and all updates and the payroll tax service. Then we ran Repair Company on the file. Then we Sync'd the Employee Journal through the Integrity Check. That fixed the problem.
ALWAYS make at least 2 backups before running Repair Company or Integrity Check on any file. At least one of them should be to a hard drive or other backup media.
Let me know if this helps.

Glad to know yours was easier to fix than my client's.
