I can no longer use the F5 key for quick posting. I am using Peachtree 7. If I reload the software the F5 key will work until I restore my company. The F5 key quit working back when I was using PAW5. I don't remember anything specific happening. The F5 key will not work with the Sample company either, it seems like something has turned the function key off. The F1 key still works to display the help menu. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How old is your keyboard? Also, did you assign the F5 key as a shortcut in Windows, or install a new program that assigns functionality to the F5 key? There's not an option to turn the function keys on or off, so I'd try another keyboard first.
Finally, you can try using the Alt-S shortcut to post. This works in the same fashion in version 7.

Thank you for responding. The ALT-S shortcut still works and I have been using it for several years now. I beleive the keyboard is okay. I have upgraded computers twice and the problem continues. If I load the software unto a new machine the F5 key works fine until I add and restore my company.

There's no logical explanation. What version of Peachtree? Click Help and About...include the full version, like 7.0.03 etc.

I am using 7.0.03.098 . I am sure this problem has followed me from version PAW5. Somewhere there must be a software switch.
Thanks for your interest.

You've got the latest patch for version 7, so that eliminates that. There's not a switch...what would be the point of that? Either you use the keyboard shortcuts, or you don't...no need for a "switch".
You most likely have either another program (or a virus) on your machine that is usurping the F5 key functionality, or some other problem with your Peachtree installation. Your next step would be to contact Peachtree support directly on the off chance that they'll have a solution.
Good luck!
