What would be a good account for accumulating contract labor expenses?

This may sound silly, but a good account would be a "contract labor" expense account. If you don't already have an account like this you can easily add it. Add the account with an appropriate ID, indicate it is an expense account, and name it "contract labor".
On the other hand, if you are asking what AccountID to use, that could be anything you want, but keeping the ID consistent with your current expense account numbering would be considered good practice.
