View Full Version : Peach Tree Upgrade Recommendation
My Company Had Maxed Out The Kbyte Size To 100,000kbyte On Peach Tree Complete 2006. Now I Am Ready To Purchase A New Software/upgrade. What Should I Purchase Now For The Company? Should I Go To Quantum Or Should I Upgrade To Peach Tree Complete 2007/ Peach Tree Premium 2007. I Would Really Appreciate Some Feed Back.
Thanks,
Tsi

Peachtree 2008 is scheduled for release in June, 2008.
The therectical database limit of 100 MB in Peachtree 2006 and the Btreive Database Engine as well as earlier Peachtree versions, is and was an arbitrary value, is not a practical maximum size database size based on actual field experience. Peachtree 2007 and Peachtree 2008 are using Pervasive SQL V9.1 Database Engine which can manage a substantially larger database.
You did not state which version and or flavor that you are currently using. Today, Peachtree is offering 9 flavors of Version 2007 and 2008 when released. So, I am unable to provide more information on the value of upgrading.

Any information on new features and improvement. We are thinking to upgrade to version 2008.
In 2008, any report on Stock aging or not. Currently we are using PAwcom to generate (A very good software). We can browse and get information as we want using Pawcom.
We also notice that pawcom might not be able to support Version 2008 or 2009

PawCom will support version 2008. However, when Peachtree changes to mySQL next year PawCom may not be able to support 2009 and later. However, the mwToolkitForPT should continue to work for future versions.

Have you ever run the Purge wizard to get rid of the old data? How many years of data are in your current file?
