Attempting to print checks from New PCW 2002. Checks are setup incorrectly and I have to reset each entry area to print in the right spot.

Old PCW was V6.0. A tech transferred all customer data, vendors, balances, etc. Kept the old Peachtree in a folder we re-labeled PCW OLD.
However none of the default set-ups for invoices, checks, etc transferred to the new version of the program.

Can I open old program without it attempting to reset the data in the new program again to look at check template and its configuration? Or is there a way to transfer those templates to the new program?

Hardware technician is concerned there will be corruption.

If you have the software installed in two different directories, then you won't have any problems. I have Peachtree 7, 8, and 9 all installed on my laptop. They coexist peacefully unless I try to open both programs at once.

So, you should be able to open version 6 as necessary. Regarding your check format, these are stored in .FRM forms in your Peachtree installation directory. Open the check in version 6, then click the Save button. It should display the file name of your check, something like APC00001.FRM. Copy this from the installation directory of version 6 into the installation directory of version 2002. Either version 2002 will accept the old format, or it won't, but I've never encountered a case of a check form causing data corruption in Peachtree.
