I am running Peachtree quantum 2007 in a multi user server environment.
All works well until I try to take a 'snapshot' of the current company files by copying a set to my C: Drive. In the past versions of PT, this worked just like opening a new company on my C: drive and did not affect the server version. (Found this method works faster/easier than the backup method which required a module to unload/etc.)
When opening the C: drive files in this new Quantum version, it says it cannot locate the Pervasive Database search engine on my server. (even though i am actively linked to the network at the time and the pervasive database search engine functions fine when opening the version housed on the server).
I followed some other thread's suggestions from this board and still have the same issue.
a) unblocked the program to avoid firewall issues.
b) confirmed the 2 ports 1583 and 3351 are not being used by other programs. (thread: PT 2007 uses the Pervasive database engine which listens on port 1583 as well as 3351)
Anyone have any suggestions? it appears it is a problem with the client side of the program but i do not know what is missing.
Thanks in advance,
pppp
