I installed Pervasive 9.5 on a workstation that I did not know had Peach Tree on it. Now I have a Version problem with Peach Tree.
The current Peach Tree version is 2006.0.00.039
Will this version run at all with 9.5 or do I need to upgrade?
I can also uninstall Pervasive - would that help?

Please correct & restart.
I get this error even if I uninstal Pervasive 9.5

It sounds like PeachTree is looking for the old Btrieve registry settings. This was a great idea (to have the system check itself to avoid problems), but then the app breaks when the new engine is installed.
Four options:
1) Uninstall and reinstall PeachTree. This should replace the Btrieve 6.15 files that the v9.5 installer removed for you.
2) Restore the files from the PVSWARCH folder. These should be your Btrieve 6.x files that were archived, although the registry settings may not be fixed automatically.
3) Upgrade to PeachTree 2007, which uses Pervasive PSQL v9 as its database engine (and thus avoids checking Btrieve 6.15 settings).
4) Reinstall PSQLv9.5, but manually add the missing registry settings normally used by Btrieve 6.15. (I think PeachTree documents these.) They will not be used by the new engine, of course, but that won't stop the engine from working.
If needed, also Force the Requester Version, as described here: http://www.goldstarsoftware.com/apps_ptree.asp.

What version of Peachtree are you using? I.E. Peachtree 2002 - 2006 or Peachtree 6.0 - 8.0. This way we can then provide the Windows Registry fix or Btreive settings to fix this problem.
