Here my "huge unresolved situation"

I recently started working for a Company which uses Peachtree Complete Accounting 2002 release # 9: little knowledge on my side on this accounting software and little knowledge by current user.
The fact:
I have been asked to do the year-closing (2001 and few months of transactions/posting), which we did together, using the wizard function
To make a long story short, all we have now is:

1-a summarized/non-detailed report not easily accessible and printable (got this report through distiller function on Acrobat 5)

2-disappearance/impossibility to retrieve the monthly General Ledgers

Is there anyone in this Forum which could be helpful in shedding some light or giving some guidance on the procedure to follow in order to access again the General Ledgers of the last year Fiscal Period...?

Thanks in advance

This is normal behavior for Peachtree to lock the fiscal year that you just closed. When you walked through the wizard, you were required to make a backup. Create a new company in Peachtree, then restore your backup over this new company. You'll then have two versions of your company files...one for the closed fiscal year, and the current, live version that you continue posting to. Each year, you'll make another new company in this same fashion. If you need more insight into this, the book Peachtree for Dummies is a great reference.

Thanks David for your immediate answer: I am back home, after checking around to find the Peachtree for Dummies (hard task...though) but I finally have found it...I will go over it and implement your advise by Monday morning (opening of a New Company and ""rescue"" of the data in the Year End Closing just performed on friday...)
I hope everything will go smooth and to be able to retrieve data for the monthly General Ledger reports (itemized, as originally posted)...

Thanks again, and I will post the result by Monday..

Enjoy your day
