How are inventory fields linked?

I am very new to Peachtree and noticed inventory discrepencies between two fields -- "QTY ON HAND" (maintain inventory items) AND "QUANTITY ON HAND" (inventory adjustments). The second field is gray which means it is in another location but I don't know how to adjust it. Thanks for any help!

One looks to the end of the month, the other looks to the date of the transaction screen or system date. Run the inventory adjustments date to the end of the month or change the system date to the end of the month, and then open the inventory adjustments screen.
