OT: Calculator Cleaner?

Off topic here, but dunno anywhere else to ask.... My desk calculator seems to be dirty. Even brand new ink rollers get spotty print coming out. I've found printer cleaning sheets you put thru printers; not convinced they work that great, but never saw one for a calculator?

Any suggestions for cleaning the calculator? It's just a Sharp regular desktop accounting type calculator. Uses standard rolls, red/black ink.

I gave up my desktop calculator months ago - moffsoft (and many others) write free apps for this kind of thing. The free version at www.moffsoft.com comes with a printable tape feature that is very handy. Worth checking out, I think.

I too had this same issue several months ago and actually spent hours
trying to get a clean tape. New ribbons/rollers didn't help, cleaning the
number rollers didn't help, running cleaners through didn't help....finally dumped it in the trash and bought new.
