Peachtree Point of Sale -ACCUPOS

I need to add either the Accupos, point of sale software w/scanner or the Accucount-for scanning inventory. We are a small specialty retailer with mostly large items. Does anyone have any experience with these to recommend one versus the other or does anyone just use a scanner to currently scan inventory into Peachtree? Your help would be appreciated before I make this investment!

I have a client using Accupos. Overall - their tech support sucks, big time. In fact, Accupos tech support didn't understand the total functionality of their own software. In other words - stay away from it.

Keystroke is a 3rd party add-on recommended by Peachtree. I ordered a demo disk from them, but the disk was received damaged. Doesn't say much about their quality assurance dept.

In regards to AccuPOS, I am sorry to say I am a user of AccuPOS, I am absolutely shocked that Sage, “Peachtree” would endorse such a product, I had my reservations about purchasing the AccuPOS point of sale, but, I felt that as long as Peachtree supported them they must be a good company. My advice to you, avoid AccuPOS like the plague. Customer service is OK as long as you don’t mind being on hold for 20 to 60 minutes every time you call, and they will gladly pass your functionality concerns along to their programmers, what you’re supposed to do in the meantime, well I have no idea. This is not a well thought out product. It would be a great add-on if it actually worked as described. I’ll never trust in Sage’s recommendation again.
