Peachtree System Slow Down

Hi

I am using peachtree Complete Accounting 8.00.

We are now facing system slowing down. Each time we retrieve posted invoices or purchases. We need 1 or 2 minutes to open out the file.

We are using HD 7200rpm. and peer to peer network. Switch 100mbps.

Any idea to increase the speed of database.

The #1 Peachtree Slowdown Cause is:

Uninstall any anti-virus & disk-utilities programs. Such as (but not limited to) Norton Antivirus 2002, Norton Utilities, McAfee VirusScan, ect.

After you uninstall it and have rebooted the pc. Try running peachtree so you can see if that did the trick. After that reinstall the AV and try changing the settings in order to create a workaround (most problably you will have to stop scanning the peachtree data folder and some other things).

On the other hand, it could be a faulty NIC or Network cable (if you are in a network).
