i have to supply monthly point of sal reports sorted by product in excel format. the sales journal has all the information i need.

but when i export to excel, most of the info, like product id is on one line; but city & state are on a second line.

i can't sort by product with getting the info all mixed up. i need all the info to be on the same row.

is there a way to force peachtree, when it exports to excel, to put all the info on one line?

thanks,

Instead, use the Export function of the Sales Journal. It will export to a .CSV file that can then be read into Excel. The extra step will be well worth it because each line item on the report will have all associated fields. You can pick and choose the fields to be displayed.

If you go the .CSV route that Deborah suggested, which I also recommend, then you can simplify the process in Excel if you have 2000 or 2002. On the Data menu, click on External Data, then Import Text File (or Import Data in Excel 2002). You can set up a direct link to your .CSV file, so that when you open the spreadsheet, Excel automatically pulls in the latest version of your data. This results in an easy transfer of data from Peachtree to Excel, with a minimum of steps involved.
