I am not at the office, but my secretary attempted to install the Contractor Edition for multi-users. Her machine (the main) is working fine but the other machine now is looking at old (June) data and when she tries to change the posting period she gets the message:

You mush post all journals before you can change your current accounting period.

Is the secondary machine just now attached to an old database? She said that she followed the instructions for installing on a network but I am sure that is probably the issue.
any suggestions? I can't make it to the office today and was hoping I could direct her.
thanks

Open your company on the host computer and then click on Maintain - Company Information. Here you will see a line that references the DATA LOCATION. Now repeat the process on the workstation and compare the latter part of the datapath to determine if you are in fact looking at two different data sources.

Assuming that both computers are in fact correctly configured and both are looking at the same data folder and accounting period; change the Posting Method from Real Time to Batch Posting and record this change and exit back to the main screen. Now reverse this process changing back to Real Time. This will force the program to check and post all transactions for all periods. Now you should be able to change accounting periods without any error messages.
