We are going from a networked system where our server was more or less 2 hard driver 'storage' drives for 5 other computers to access common files. It really did NOT serve or run programs - each had stand alone programs. As such Peachtree 2008 Prem is installed on each computer.

We are now upgrading the server to a Fast new hardware with Mic Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition

1) How do we move or set up peach 2008 on that?

2) should we set it up so it actually runs from there?? vs each desktop?? if we do what do we have to change on the desktops??

much thanks

Copy the Peachtree Data folder to a shared point on the server. Than either install the server components or full program on the server. You will also need to have the program installed on the workstation but point the data path to the new server. The install doesn't really change because you have a server, it is the same method when using peer to peer.
