When I select some items (not all) to Invoice (or ship) from an open sales order, in the printed Invoice they appear anyway (the ones not shipped).
Is there any option so that items not shipped from an open sales order don't appear in the printed Invoices ?
Thanks to all,

jspoerer - to my knowledge there is no way. This was one of the things I did not like about Peachtree. Many of our sales orders had 40 to 60 items on them. Sometimes we had to backorder let's say 8 to 15 items depending on the order. This would mean that for each invoice it would print 40 to 60 items even if we only shipped 30 to 50 of the items. And many times we would have only one item come in of the balance from our supplier and the customer would want us to ship only that one item on their backorder which would mean that once again it would print the original 40 to 60 items even though we were only shipping 1 of the items on the backorder. This created so much paperwork you have no idea. We also had the same problem with the backorders being printed. Lets say the original order had 50 items on it. This would take 2 to 3 pages to print the sales order and the picking ticket. We were using a public warehouse and would send them the orginal picking ticket which had the 50 items and was 3 pages long. We made the shipment then created the invoice. Now we received one of the backordered items in stock and the customer did not want us to wait til we received the balance of the backordered items and only wanted us to ship the one item on the backorder. Well we would now have to generate another picking ticket with all 50 items on it 3 pages long to just ship the one item. Then once again the invoice generated for the one item shipped would be 3 pages long and have 50 items listed on it. It would not be unsuall for us to have to do this with many of our customers. Beside the invoices having all the items on it every single picking ticket would be huge. I forced myself to create a picking ticket with Crystal to print a picking ticket that only contained the backordered items. This way if the original order had 50 items on it and we backordered 8 then the picking ticket for the backorder would only print the 8 items backordered. This did two things, their warehouse personnel were able to read the backorder much easier. When you have 50 items on it and are only shipping the backordered 8 items let's say your eyes have to be very careful not to miss any items etc and not duplicate a shipmnet. This had happened in the past. Alsowhat this did was reduce the paperwork tremendously in the picking tickets and sales orders. I was going to generate an invoice with crystal to also just should what items were shipped instead of listing all the items ordered whether shipped or not but did not get the time before I left the company.
Now, other programs like Macola will take an original sales order, asign what they call a shipping number to the sales order. Then you make the shipment against that sales order (shipping number). If a back order is created it would then create antoerh sales order automatically and assing a new shipping number to that backorder (not assign a new PO #). This way every single backorder would have a unique shippeers number asigned to it. This really helped when you had backorders and the customer calls at a later time and trys to trace the shipments made on the backorders of the original order. Every single shipment had a unique shippers # which made the job of research so much easier and also since every backordr was asigned a new shippers number it technically handled it as a new shipment each time and would only generate an invoice according to what items were shipped only and not list all items on the origianl order.
So the answer to your question is NO YOU CAN'T according to my knowledge of Peachtree.

We've worked out an invoice form which can avoid printing "back orders" using Crystal Report for Peachtree, if you've interest, please let me know.

Mr. Tse
Sure I'm interested in your Invoice form, how much does it cost ?
Also, do I have to buy Crystal Reports to use it ?
Thanks again for your help & support...
