I have peachtree 2000, but I need to get the tax tables for 2002. i have a small partime business in which I do accounting for a small amount of small busineses. Do I have to purchase an update, if so how much will it cost me.

Hi,

If you are in fact using Peachtree 2000 (completely different product than Peachtree Complete Accounting v7, v8 or 2002), then you will have to purchase the update.

Unlike Peachtree 2002 (AFAIK) you can set all the tax tables from within the program, without any tax update (and save a buck or two). But the problem is with the W-2 form, which recently has changed something in the First Name, Last Name field. You could try to fix the form yourself if the fields would exist separately (but you can't), the Release 6 Batch 3 separate this two field and fixes the W-2.

BTW, if you are using Peachtree 2000 you will get better results posting in the PT2000 forum.
