I use to get the Tax Update but on this year we didn't want to use it because it didn't change for Puerto Rico. Now I try to use the User Maintained Table and it doens't work. I couldn't add or delete anything that was there. (Only Sit and Sui lines). I backup and delete the Taxtable.dat file from the company folder and when I start peachtree it say that there are no taxtable.dat file so the program create for me. Is a blank table so I start copy everything from the peachtree table to the user table + add the 2008 lines but now if I try to make a payroll I don't receive any warning but the deduction for the Inc. Tax is show as $0 so is not doing any formula. What could be wrong???? Does the user table need the Sit and Sui lines?? if so where I can get that data??? Thanks.

Hi kalehm,

I have user-maintained my payroll tax tables for over 10 years. I can help.

Follow this link to see screen shots of tables and formulas.

You need to check with your state for the exact values and formulas to properly deal with these taxes. In some states the UI is an employee only tax. You might also have a State Disability tax that you need to account for too.

Does that mean that I need those lines even if I don't get an error when I try to do the payroll??? The Inc. Tax appear as 0 but with no warnings or error. And Kh_Designs if you please send me those files I will be very happy. Thanks a lot!!
